No, figs themselves are to big to fit in a home grinder, so we do the work for you. Fortunately figs don't off gas and loose flavor like coffee so you can enjoy the convenience of the grounds without loosing out on flavor.

No all of the sweetness in our blends is derived from the natural ingredients. Figs are a naturally sweet fruit and even after our extensive roasting process some of that sweetness still remains from the natural sugars. Due to this many customers don't find they need a sweetener like they would their comparable cup of coffee, but if you are looking for a little added sweetness pure agave is our sweetener of choice.

You can mix our Original Digestive Roast (pure fig) in any ratio with your coffee, however we recommend starting out at a 50/50 ratio by weight and adjust from there. If you don’t weigh your coffee then 1 teaspoon of fig is roughly the equivalent of 1 tablespoon of coffee. So if you use to 4 tablespoons of coffee then you would replace two of those tablespoons with 2 teaspoons of fig. Remember just like coffee there is no wrong ratio its just what ratio is right for you.

While we have found nothing in our product that would cause alarm for consumption during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, we always recommend consulting with your physician before repeated use.

Roasted fig has a longer shelf-life than coffee with a two year shelf-life. In general we recommend storing in a cool dry place. For longer storage we recommend placing them in the refrigerator.
